It's a handsome pistol, modelled after the Colt Woodsman.
The right grip holds the CO2 cartridge and the screw on the bottom is turned with a coin to clamp the cartridge against the seal, and pierce it.
Removing 4 screws gains access to the internals of the pistol. Nothing was missing at all. I took care not to lose the safety spring and ball.
You'll notice the yellowish patches on the grey metal part under the connecting link from hammer to trigger. That's grease that has turned to stickum. All I had to do was squirt some light oil in, and scrape the old grease off as best I could. I didn't tear the pistol down completely because the design is a bit tricky to put back together, I had spent hours getting it right on another one I worked on. Not fun.

Put a dab of grease on the ball and it won't come off the spring immediately.

i did this and it worked great......the screw on the bottom of the handle used to replace the CO2 cartridge was broken off by the previous owner, and i would like to buy a new one, but i dont know where to find it, is there someone you would recommend? please let me know-

If you go to the Crosman site you can download the exploded drawing for all their guns. For the more modern ones you then call up Crosman and order by part#
Sometimes you'll find that they use parts from older guns for modern ones, such as the piercing pin and seal from the 357, it works on the 38T and a host of other guns.
For older parts you can try Bryan and Associates, Mac1 or JG airguns.

I used the 1/2" faucet washer and filed it down to about half its original size and it fits perfectly and the pistol is functioning properly again. It appeared the original seal was disintegrated and gone. Probably my fault due to improper lubrication. The pistol had not been shot enough to require lubrication, but it probably needed it from age alone. Thanks for the tip.
