Just a quick update:
The Findlay, Ohio "Flag City Toys that Shoot" Airgun Show is fast approaching. It's Saturday, April 14, 2012. This is the 7th time around for this event and all the dealer tables are sold out again! Kudos to Dan, Duane and Dave for their tireless work to bring this show to the Midwest.
I've mentioned several times about this Ohio show and the great deals I've found--like here.
I'll do my best to wander around and take some pictures for those unable to attend.

Re-Cutting the 22XX Dovetail for a New Sight
Wanted to make some forward progress on a rear sight for one of my 22XX guns. The odd dovetail angle size on the Crosman steel breech meant either buying a specialty cutter of doing the work by hand.
Elected to re-cut the factory dovetail to 60 degrees. It was an easy decision to make since I already had a cutter.
Set it on parallels and protected the sides with some heavy paper.
Cut it a couple thousandths deeper than I really wanted to, but once it's blued up and there's a sight installed, it really won't be noticeable.
A couple passes with a triangular file and it's good to go.
Next up, I'll start the body of the sight.
