I just acquired a 1964 Sheridan blue streak and the rear sight looks like what you have but instead of a set screw it was attached with what looks like a roll pin on both sides. just wondering if you know the best way to remove it. Thanks in advance.

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17008192891926779462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2378835029459742413.post-69579279129035550802021-08-29T00:17:16.812-07:002021-08-29T00:17:16.812-07:00The rear sight that has the set screws for securin...The rear sight that has the set screws for securing to the barrel does not cause barrel separation. The rear sight with the two steel wedges is to blame for causing the barrel to separate from the pump tube. I will be creating my own peep sight, but I would like to use the Williams peep sight mounting dimensions so that I can provide a relatively common mount.

Would it be possible for you to provide the layout dimensions for the mounting holes? Distance from the top of the breech, distance from the back of the breach, and the distance between the holes would suffice.

Thanks!veggiedoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13363006667493061054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2378835029459742413.post-44178103113340776362015-09-01T15:15:44.782-07:002015-09-01T15:15:44.782-07:00Hello, how can you remove the front sight of the s...Hello, how can you remove the front sight of the sheridan?seotalkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18179372993916303803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2378835029459742413.post-57293971053216844282013-01-07T09:50:12.980-08:002013-01-07T09:50:12.980-08:00Love the blog!Love the blog!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2378835029459742413.post-47602810543159970812013-01-06T13:48:13.862-08:002013-01-06T13:48:13.862-08:00I'm sure your uncle would be very happy to kno...I'm sure your uncle would be very happy to know that you think of him whenever you handle that old Sheridan. derrick38https://www.blogger.com/profile/07453249070532046877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2378835029459742413.post-55089190659936488472013-01-06T09:25:16.026-08:002013-01-06T09:25:16.026-08:00This is great! I restored it, and it's the best rifle I've ever fired, firearm or no. I do want to remove the factory sight, as you stated, it's destructive to the gun.Alannoreply@blogger.com
